Automatic Cross Section

Automatic Cross Section operation is used to create cross sections by choosing only drillings from graphical interface. Cross Sections are created with the consideration of lithology or seam coordinate filter of drillings and side extension descriptions.

Created cross sections are saved in automatically created layer in Cross Sections tab under Catalog.

OptionDescription
Lithology/Seam FilterDetermination of which lithology or seam will be considered by the section to be created is made. Section crossing the border is created according to selected lithology or seam coordinate filter. Only the descriptions of lithology and seam descriptions that the selected drills intersect are listed.
Top Coordinate FilterSection top border coordinate (top, middle, bottom, lowermost, drill top, drill bottom) belonging to selected lithology or seam is chosen.
Bottom Coordinate FilterSection bottom border coordinate (top, middle, bottom, lowermost, drill top, drill bottom) belonging to selected lithology or seam is chosen.
1. Side ExtensionDetermination of how much the section will be extended from the first drill chosen on the screen. This value is totally dependent on interpretation. This way, it is determined that how much of the lithology or seam will be muffled from this drill.
2. Side ExtensionDetermination of how much the section will be extended from the last drill chosen on the screen. This value is totally dependent on interpretation. This way, it is determined that how much of the lithology or seam will be muffled from this drill.
Line SmoothingSmoothing level of cross section line is determined. If line smoothing is resting upon left; no smoothing is carried out but however if it is resting upon right; maximum smoothing is done. This value is totally dependent on interpretation.
