Intersurface Block Model operation is used to create a block model with specified dimensions between surfaces.

Output LayerLayer:It is the name of the layer, upon which the block model will be saved. Created layer can be seen under Blocks tab under Catalog.
Block Between Surfaces

Maximum X Size:Maximum size of the block to be created on X axis.

Maximum Y Size:Maximum size of the block to be created on Y axis.

Maximum Z Size:Maximum size of the block to be created on Z axis.

Maximum block size to be determined and block parameters in various sizes allow for the operation to be carried out with non-blocked volume being the minimum.

X Angle:Angle that block to be created makes with X axis.

Y Angle:Angle that block to be created makes with Y axis.

Z Angle:Angle that block to be created makes with Z axis.

It allows for blocks to deviate from the horizontal axis in entered angle value and become inclined. If desired, blocks can be given inclines according to geological status of the area or created solid model, and lost solid model volume amount that cannot be blocked can be minimized. When block angles are "0", all blocks are created perpendicular to "z" axis.

Lower Block Coefficient:It shows the half number of maximum block dimension entered. Calculated result will be the minimum block dimension.

Maximum block size: If 10*10*10;

    • Lower block coefficient: Minimum block size for 1: 5*5*5
    • Lower block coefficient: Minimum block size for 2: will be 2.5*2.5*2.5.

Filtering Method:Method to be used when filtering the blocks to be created as to keep them between surfaces, is chosen. Filtering status of the block is determined according to selected method.

    • Any Point of the Block: Any point of the block is included if it is in the surface to be created.
    • All Points of the Block: If all the points of the block to be created is included in the minimum and maximum points on the surface, block is also included.
    • Center Point of the Block: If the center point of the block to be created is within the surface border, block is included.

Block Acceptance Percentage (%):When blocking with various sizes for border blocks, it is used to determine how many percent of these blocks should stay within the solid model borders.
